About Yu

Hi, I'm Yu, a Taiwanese chocolatier now based in Amsterdam. I moved here in 2025 after meeting my life partner, and since then, this beautiful city has quietly become part of my creative journey.

Before that, I spent years working in professional pastry and chocolate kitchens within the world of luxury hospitality. Those experiences shaped my techniques and attention to detail, but they also taught me that some of the most meaningful things are made when we slow down.

After living years in different continents, I opened a small chocolate studio of my own in my hometown. I wanted to create chocolates in a way that felt more personal — less about decoration, and more about flavor, texture, balance, and the joy of making something by hand.

Now, I'm beginning a new chapter in the Netherlands. Many of my creations are inspired by the places I've lived, the flavors I grew up with, and the memories collected along the way. Asian ingredients, European craftsmanship, and everyday moments all find their way into my chocolates.

To me, chocolate is something to be shared. I hope each piece brings a little surprise, a little warmth, and a quiet moment of happiness.
